Snowcraft 2014 - 19th - 21st September
Learn basic Snowcraft skills for above the bush adventures and travel. Includes travelling on ice and snow in crampons, use of ice axes, self arrest, snow shelters, anchors and basic belay techniques and use of avalanche transceivers. Gear available for hire. Booking essential.

Snowcraft Course 2 - 19-21 September 2014
By popular demand we will be running a second course in late September. Come and join us and gain some snow/ice skills for the back country.

SNOWCRAFT Registrations - 19-21 September
We had a highly successful first course aided by excellent weather. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves and we had lots of learner and new experience for most participants. Several of the group braved the strong winds and navigated their way to the summit on crampons, experiencing good Ruapehu ice conditions along the way.
Registrations are now open for the second course. This will be a smaller group but will equip participants with the skills to join me on the Murchison Glacier trip in November.
