Waitakere Ranges – Whatipu Area Sunday 5th October, 2014

Whatipu area including Omanawanui track. Route dependent on weather on the day but will include spectacular views of Manukau Heads. Trip cancelled due to bad weather earlier this year…let’s hope for better luck this time. 4 – 5 hours tramping.

Bart,
This is one of my favorite tracks. I like to start from Karamatura up Fletcher track, down Puri Ridge track to Omanawanui, then back via Kura track, 7 hours approx. Might join you on the 5th.
