Waitawa Reg park CANCELLED As advised at club night, Pip Batty has had to cancell the day trip planned for 10 Aug to Waitawa. Entry to the park is closed due to slips. It is regretted that there will be no club trip next Sunday. Waitawa will be readvertised when Council can reopen the park and Pip can fit a day into the club programme -David R 6 years ago

PUHOI 24 August Further to 'Alpinesport' & website listing -meet in Puhoi Domain, over the war memorial bridge opposite the store & Pub. A car will be left in the Domain to take drivers back to Dunn's Bush at the top of the valley. Club Night - earlier 7.30 start in September The club meeting time will be at 7.30 from September, this is after discussion with club members, with multiple comments relating to the late ending of the meeting resulting in a night late for members with further to travel (on a "school night"). We will therefore trial the earlier time and look forward to feedback from members to which they prefer. Please mention the new time to other members to ensure we all get there ontime! 6 years ago
Wigs and Onesies - Wednesday 20th August 2014 For a bit of a change we thought we'd play around at Extreme Edge Panmure on Wednesday night... We're going to have some fun climbing in either wigs or onesies (or both if you want)! We meet from 7pm (sometimes people get there earlier). it would be great to have a few other members coming along to join in the fun! MURCHISON GLACIER TRIP - 1st to 9th November 2014 Anyone interested in joining me on a fly in (chopper), maybe climb out via Tasman Saddle, with a stop at Kelman or Tasman Hut? Then if we are completely stupid we may walk out down the glacier (it saves a chopper flight but when you are half way down you would gladly pay twice the price!) - it only takes a day; it is all down hill and I have vowed never to do it again (twice)! Wigs and Onesies - Wednesday 20th August 2014 We had great fun, there are some awesome pictures on the ASC snow riders Facebook page - take a look! We had only one member in a onesie this first time, he had a wig too, and was the well deserving winner of the mini prize for best dressed. There were a number of wigs in varying colours from the blonde variety to neon pink and green. Next time you should come along too! The tentative date is Wednesday 8th October. Tasmania - Cradle Mountain - Overland Track Track BOOKED OUT trip leaders Peter & Jenny advise that no more places are available for track starts on the date they have already booked. Hence additional people can not join them. Anyone still thinking of doing this tramp need to get on the track on Xmas day or find available spots later in the summer. DR 6 years ago
